who are we?

The Iraqi Network for UNSC Resolution 1325 was founded in 2011 and registered in Iraq under the provisions of Law No. 21 of 2010.

The vision of the network is Wide space participation for women in peace and security-building processes, and all possible means to protect women and girls in situations of war and peace provided.

The objectives of the network are:

Eliminate forms of discrimination based on gender, and work to harmonize national legislation in line with the Iraqi constitution and Iraq's international obligations.

Promote effective political participation of women.

Empower women to participate in decision-making.

Enhancing the role of women in the security and peace process -according to UNSCR 1325 resolution in Iraq.
